LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The pro-Hillary Clinton volunteer and advocacy organization Bros4Hillary announced Thursday its “12 Days of Hillary” campaign: a comprehensive voter outreach effort to register new voters in closely contested battleground states and increase overall voter participation before the November presidential election.
The 12-day campaign begins October 1 with daily posts across various social media platforms educating voters on ways to get involved, like how to phone bank. In anticipation of the campaign, Bros4Hillary has been advocating new voter registration and educating potential voters on registration deadlines in targeted battleground states.
“Obviously, voter turnout is crucial in every state,” said Bros4Hillary Political Director Alex Mohajer. “But what we have seen is that we will need definitive wins in traditional swing states in order to ensure an electoral victory. So we are targeting those specific states with a social media blitz. We think it’s important to say, ‘Hey Michiganders, we need you specifically to register and get to the polls.”
The organization has over 25,000 followers and members across several social media platforms, and knows they have the potential to reach an exponentially larger audience by making their content “go viral.”
“With so many people watching this very controversial election, consumption of social media feels like it is at an all time high,” said Director of Social Media Outreach, Daniel Fusselman. “People are using Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to get their news, share their opinions, and vent their outrage. People are sharing our content.”
Fusselman and Mohajer have been working with the group’s social media outreach team, comprised of members with an expansive social media audience and a demonstrated ability to reach and engage them, to strategize and develop viral-worthy content and maximize support for Clinton.
“Time and time again our members have risen to the challenge. They had an outsized impact during the primary. Our members’ energy and dedication is what makes this group so special.” Fusselman said.
Mohajer added, “Bros4Hillary’s wide and diverse membership will again be making a large difference on the social media conversation and ultimately in polls and votes.”
Priscilla Wagner, a member of the group’s social media outreach team, agrees. “When our members get excited about things, big things happen,” Wagner said.
“These folks are all volunteers. But they are pros. And they have been working so hard,” Fusselman said. “Some of them have their own vast social media networks and hundreds of thousands of followers at their disposal. It’s really invaluable.”
NORTH OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN – One month ago, Los Angeles, CA resident Ryan O’Connor would have never expected to find himself working to elect Hillary Clinton, let alone entrenched on the battlefield in a rural, conservative part of Michigan, a state that is expected to be a battleground for Democrats in November’s presidential election.
An actor, singer, and entertainment host, O’Connor appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s “Your OWN Show” in 2011 and was the host of the extremely popular “Musical Mondays” event in West Hollywood, CA for five years before deciding he needed a change of pace.
“My marriage ended in March of this year, and as summer went on I was living in a friend’s guest room in the valley in Los Angeles.” O’ Connor said in a conversation with B4H. “Between show business and dealing with my personal life, I became sick of thinking about myself and decided it was time to focus on something besides myself.”
Having been a long time supporter of Hillary’s, Ryan was inspired suddenly to get involved, and he applied to work for the campaign. “Helping elect the most qualified person to ever run for the office of President seemed like a good way to stop thinking about myself.”
“I had the privilege of voting for Hillary in my very first election when I was 19 years old in 2000,” O’Connor explained. “I was living in New York at the time, and voted for her as my Senator. I am so grateful to have had her as our Senator in the days and weeks after 9/11. It’s the kind of leadership that our country desperately needs right now.”
It was on the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia 16 years later, shortly before Clinton would accept the Democratic nomination for President, that O’Connor got the call. He’d been hired, but where he’d been called to serve was a surprise. Before he knew it, he was off to rural Michigan, where he was tasked with the opportunity, and the challenge, of a lifetime: Turning a hardcore conservative area in a rural part of a crucial swing state from a red zone, to a blue one.
“I am specifically in charge of an area that comprises Waterford Township, White Lake Township, Highland Township and a chunk of Northern Pontiac.” O’Connor said.
O’Connor believes there is a chance to turn this area blue. “The reality about Michigan is that there is no path to the White House for Donald Trump that doesn’t include winning Michigan,” O’Connor said. “He knows it and that’s why he keeps visiting and trying to appeal to broken Union workers and the disenfranchised auto workers.”
O’Connor says that it’s going to take an all-hands-on-deck approach, and possible volunteers from out of state, to get to work making phone calls, canvassing door-to-door, reaching out to as many voters as possible. [Editor’s Note: If you are interested in joining Ryan in Michigan, please contact him via the e-mail address found in the footer of this article.]
As far as what he is getting out of all of this, O’Connor views this as his Julia Roberts moment. “Obviously, this journey is first and foremost about electing a woman that I believe is the most qualified person in history to be President of the United States, but personally, it’s about participating in the country that has been so good to me. I keep joking that instead of ‘Eat. Pray. Love’ I am living a sort of ‘Eat. Politic. Vote’ moment. Finding myself by helping others.”
“It’s the adventure of a lifetime.”

LOS ANGELES, CA – Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton quietly released a stunning web advertisement on September 17, 2016 entitled “War Hero,” and the video may be the most effective political ad in modern memory.
The video features World War II veteran Joel Sollender, a US Army Prisoner of War who was captured by the Nazis in 1944. In the emotional clip, Sollender watches comments made by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during the Family Leadership Summit in July 2015 in Ames, Iowa, wherein Trump criticizes Senator John McCain’s (R-Ariz) status as a war hero. Trump says, I “like people that weren’t captured.”
Sollender’s response is heart-breaking and a powerful reminder of the power of words, and the need to defeat demagogues like Trump. “Apart from the outrage of the insult to prisoners of war,” Sollender says tearfully, “he insulted all of our military. My war is 70 years ago…and yesterday.”
Sollender concludes, “He’s everything I would not want to be or emulate, and I would hope we would not adulate a man like him and put him into the most precious office in this country.”
The advertisement highlights the harmful effects of Trump’s campaign rhetoric. Insulting various minority groups, veterans, women, people of color, and basically every voting bloc in this Country may have already had long-lasting and harmful effects, and that’s merely as a candidate for office. The Clinton campaign and it’s vast surrogate network have repeatedly reiterated the “our children are listening” theme in the past months, a theme that is presented in a different iteration here, but captures the message all the same:
We can’t afford Donald Trump.
Watch the video for yourself, and try to hold back your tears. It will be a challenge.

Matt Harris was born 26 years ago in San Antonio, Texas and is currently working as a technical support agent for Wipro inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Georgia State University.
His passionate support for Hillary Clinton began when she announced her run for President in April 2016. From then on, he began organizing Hillary groups – to build influential and active online presence that in reality, goes back to 2008, Hillary’s first run. Just like in 2008, he spent numerous hours phone banking before his March 1 Super Tuesday primary in Georgia, and also for Texas and Louisiana, in advance of the primary elections.
As a millennial, Matt is supporting Hillary Clinton enthusiastically and has this to say:
“I’m supporting Hillary Clinton (as a millennial) because Hillary is someone I believe in what she says and has done what she has said. I’m supporting Hillary Clinton because she inspires to be who I am everyday with no apologies despite any criticism I may receive but to keep going. I’m supporting Hillary Clinton because of her strong willed and drive to continue to fight for the issues she has consistently fought for her entire public service. I’ve been a proud Hillary Clinton supporter since January 2008. She was my first Presidential Primary vote and I will be proud (finally) to cast my vote for her to become the first woman President!”
Thank you, Matt for your hard work and continue to keep the faith in fulfilling the goal in making Herstory!
Tony is a long time unwavering supporter & fierce defender of Hillary Clinton. A proud resident of Orlando, Florida, he is married to his husband of almost 15 years and is currently employed by Wyndham Hotel Group as a hotel manager.
Since 2007, he has traveled all over Florida spending numerous hours phone banking, canvassing, getting out the vote and campaigning for Hillary Clinton. One of his most memorable moments of the campaign this year so far was to serve as a Hillary National Delegate in Philadelphia where he had a front row seat to history in the making.
Tony believes in Hillary because she has always believed in us! He strongly believes that her tremendous amount of experience and passion for what she does sets her up to be one of the best (if not the best ever) Presidents the United States Of America has ever seen!
With less than 80 days till Election Day, he stays committed to the cause and not cave in to complacency. Tony hopes to not only help deliver his home state of Florida to Hillary but other established “red states” as well. He always follow the discipline that Love Trumps Hate and we truly are #StrongerTogether.
“I support Hillary because she supports us! She believes in basic civil rights like me being able to marry whom I love. I support her because like myself she believes in a woman’s right to choose her own medical decisions. It also makes me feel very good to be supporting a candidate who gets knocked down but never stays down!! She gets back up every time and comes back as strong as ever- a trusted leader we can actually count on!!” expressed Tony.
Thank you for all your amazing and inspiring hard work for Hillary!
Blake prides himself as a political activist in the deep red south, currently in his second year at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). He previously served in the Lenda Sherrell for US Congress campaign and managed a city council campaign in Chattanooga. In addition, he served as the President of the Bradley County Young Democrats, a member of the Tennessee Democratic Party Outreach Committee, as well as a consultant to the Khristy Wilkinson for State Senate campaign.
When Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy as President, he began working with his former boss, Lenda Sherrell, in preparing a student group at UTC where students can come together and support Hillary. Along with other Tennessee students, he traveled to South Carolina, where they canvassed for hours, making sure that the Carolinians were getting out to vote! Blake even worked with the campaign in Chattanooga representing Hillary Clinton at the Pride Parade.
Perhaps his greatest achievement to date is running a very successful campaign as the youngest Delegate in the state of Tennessee to the Democratic National Convention – where he proudly cast his vote to Secretary Clinton! Recently, he was promoted as the Regional Organizing Director for East TN of Students for Hillary and definitely looking forward to collaborating with colleges in the region on electing our first female President!
Blake shared with us why he is supporting Hillary:
“As someone who has been raised by strong and intelligent women, it comes as no surprise to me that Hillary Clinton was the easiest election pick I’ve had. She resembles the hope that I, as an LGBTQ+ student burdened with student loans, desire in a candidate. Never has she given up, and in this critical moment of our country’s history, we need a leader that is fearless and relentless. That leader is Hillary Clinton.”
Thank you Blake for all your inspiring and exemplary endeavors to elect Hillary Clinton as President!
Kavin is a Nevada resident and works in retail at the fabulous Las Vegas strip.
He has volunteered for the Hillary Clinton campaign for more than a year- making calls, canvassing and knocking on doors and administrative office work. Not only he was the Precinct Captain for the Hillary for Nevada campaign but also served as the site lead, acting as the liaison for 7 precincts. During this time, he has volunteered for about 20 hours a week and became a witness to see Nevada become one of Hillary’s firewalls!
Nowadays, he volunteers about 5 to 10 hours a week, including voter registration. In addition, Kavin is very active in social media via Twitter- recruiting volunteers from red states to make calls for Nevada, now seen as another firewall in the general election.
Kavin shares with us why she supports Hillary for a long time with his personal story:
“I started out supporting Hillary Clinton in 08. I lived through the 90s. I thought she was the most brilliant First Lady ever. When I did research last year, I realized just how much Hillary had done for the LGBT community. Then, I further researched, and saw all the amazing things she had done for the HIV community. She didn’t need a “clincher moment,” as she already had me. However, as an activist for HIV rights and anti-stigma, I voluntarily “came out” as 20 years HIV+. She is absolutely for PrEP, and, will work towards an AIDS-free generation. I’m here to remind her to keep fighting for decriminalization of HIV and to help fight the stigma attached. She represents so many other issues to me, however. From women’s rights to gay rights to fighting for autism, for my friend, Donna, a grandmother of 2 on the autism spectrum.”
Thank you very much Kavin for your outstanding dedication and hard work to elect our next President!
